(ANNISTON) Services for Maurece R. Sprayberry, 90, of Anniston were Monday,
Aug. 11, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Golden Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Max
Sprayberry, Ted Embry, Allen Haynes and Jimmy Sprayberry officiating. Burial
was in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery in Delta.
Mrs. Sprayberry died Saturday, Aug. 9, at National Health Care in Anniston.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Sprayberry of Randolph County and the Rev.
Max Sprayberry of Greenville, N.C.; four daughters, Mary Hatcher of
Cartersville, Ga., Margaret Griffith of Gadsden, Linday Hayes of Pinson and Nora
Embry of Anniston; a sister, Ruth Rogers Sparks of Jacksonville; 19
grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sprayberry was a native of Clay County and a member of Golden Springs
Baptist and the friendship Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Wiley Lee Sprayberry; two sons, Jimmy Charles Sprayberry and Wiley
Samuel Sprayberry; and a grandson, Billy Ladd Griffith.
Arrangements were by Miller Funeral Home, Oxford.
