Jewel Dean Surgeon, age 89, of Vero Beach, FL passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Indian River Medical Center. Mrs. Surgeon was born in Daisy, GA on March 14, 2011 to the late Glenn and Martha Little. Jewel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo. She was preceded in death by her husband William Frank Surgeon, her sister Glenna Ours and her two brothers; Glenn and Amiss.

Survivors include her three children; William F. (Diana) Surgeon, Jr., Jeanette (Sonny) Cheatham and David (Cheryl) Surgeon, 12 grandchildren; Jennifer (Marcus) Williams, William F. (Anthony Pernicka ) Surgeon, III, Cassandra (Paul) Conti, Barbara Clawson, Mike (Carmen) Damron, Stephen (Michelle) Cheatham, Angela Cheatham, Kimberly (Brian Barnes) Cheatham, Natalie Surgeon, Valerie Surgeon and Stefanie, twelve great grandchildren; Victoria, Justin, Paul, Carmine, Shawn, Chad, Ryan, Trinity, Emily, Jonathan, Shane and Rylie, sisters; Doris Hawes, Martha Terrell, Betty Travis and Carol Metz and two sisters in law; Rosemary Little and Pat Little.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to services. Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL.
