Richard J. Williams, 42 of 531 Ceder St., died Monday morning in the Community General Hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday.
Born in Reading, a son of late Walter E. and Dorothy L. (Nice) Williams, he was a 20 year Army veteran, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
He was a member of East End Athletic club Stoney Creek Athletic Assn. and the Veteran Fireman's Assn.
He is survived by his widow Charlotte M. (Dieter) Williams, three sons Richard Jr., Douglas, and Lynton, and a daughter Marilyn, all at home.
Three brothers; Harold W., Leon B., and Gene A., and six sisters: Fern, wife of Ammon Schmeck; Cleida, wife of William Prussman; Samantha, wife of Gilbert Zerbe; Dorothy B. wife of Donald Frankhouser; Elaine F. wife of Richard Williams and Patricia A., wife of Terrance Tuckey, all of Reading.
Services will be held friday at 1p.m. in the Theo. C. Auman, Inc., funeral home, the Rev. David L. Fife officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
