Mrs. Robertine (Robin) W. Hawkins, 98, of New Market, passed away Monday evening, Nov. 23, 2015, at MontVue Nursing Home in Luray. She was born April 3, 1917, in Blacksburg, and was a daughter of the late James Lee and Dora Price Wall.

Mrs. Hawkins was a retired registered nurse having been employed at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. She was a devoted member of Reformation Lutheran Church in New Market, where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the LCW and was a member of the Thursday Lunch committee. She also was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and was a former cub scout leader.

On Nov. 22, 1939, she married Hugh M. Hawkins, who died April 5, 2001.

Surviving are three sons, H.M. Hawkins II and wife, Monica, of McAllen, Texas, and their son, Maurice; Daniel A. Hawkins and his wife, Tacy, of New Market and their son, Mark, and his wife, Kate, and their children, Adam, Sarah and Leah and Ken W. Hawkins of Mount Sidney and his stepson, Shane Caudill and his wife, Sara, and their daughter, Sophia, of Richmond and a brother, Joseph Wall and wife, Mildred, of Blacksburg.

The Rev. Jeffrey Sonafelt will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at Reformation Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, New Market.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Theis Funeral Chapel in New Market.
