Opal was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Seymour, Texas, to William A. and Bernice (Jackson) Allred. She married Carl Pillion Sept. 10, 1933, in Drasco, Texas. They moved to Littlefield in 1940, where she worked as a sales clerk for Ware' Dept. Store. Opal taught children's Sunday school for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Littlefield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl.
Survivors include a daughter, Phoncelle Brantley and husband Bill of Littlefield; two grandchildren, Dr. Ken Brantley and wife Shelley of Amarillo, and Krista and Tommy Brantley of Littlefield; four great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
The Pillion family will receive friends today, Nov. 27th, from 4 until 5 p.m. at Hammons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be sent to First Baptist Church of Littlefield, Texas.
