Mrs. Nora Steinkopf, 87, a former Ava resident, died in the Doctors Convalescent Home in East. St. Louis Monday after an illness of two months.

She was born in Ava Aug. 25, 1874, the daughter of James and Julia Henson. She was married to Fred Steinkopf, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Steinkopf was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Jackson Club, both of East St. Louis.

She leaves a half brother, Henry Ledbetter of East St. Louis. Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava. The Rev. Eugene Owsley will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
