Ivan Lloyd Bailey, Sr. of West Chester

Ivan Lloyd Bailey, Sr., 81, of West Chester, Pa, and formerly of Aldan, Pa, passed away on November 23, 2011. Born in 1930, Lloyd was the son of Hazel (Cubbison) and John Harley Bailey, both deceased.
He was a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and retired in 1968 as a Chief Petty Officer. After working for several years at the GE Switchgear Division, in Southwest Philadelphia, he worked for 18 years as a Marine Engineer on tugboats on the Delaware River in Philadelphia, and ultimately retired to West Chester, Pa.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rita N. (nee, Rizzo) Bailey, his children, Ivan Lloyd Bailey, Jr. (Betsy), Betty Tepper (Frank), John H. Bailey (Linda) and James C. Bailey (Stacey) and his 10 grandchildren, Frank, Mary (Brendan), Rita, Lloyd, Lindsay C., John, Allison, Lindsay A., James and Catherine.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Sunday Eve, November 27, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday after 8:30 a.m. at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA, 610-431-9000 and to his Funeral Mass, at 10 a.m. on, Monday, November 28, 2011 at St. Agnes Church, 233 West Gay St, West Chester.

Ineterment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A.C. Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
