Jesse A. Bernard, 74, died Wednesday, July 13, 1977 at his residence in Russell Springs.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Crella Bernard; five daughters, Mrs. Myrtie Edmonds, Mrs. Juanita Wells, Russell Springs; Mrs. Henrietta Wright, Mrs. Elizabeth Flanagan, Jamestown; Mrs. Lela Jett, Chicago, Illinois; six sons, Joseph Bernard, Jamestown; Zimeria Bernard, Batavia, Ohio; Robert L. Bernard, U.S.A.F., Alaska; Leonard P. Bernard, William Paul Bernard, Chicago, Illinois; David Bernard, Russell Springs; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-granchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 15, 1977 at 2:00 PM in Bernard Church of God with Bros. Jack Crockett and Raymond Foster officiating and Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Wendell Bernard, Daryl Bernard, Ronnie Bernard, Jesse Bernard, Paul Bernard and Larry Jett. Interment was in Lucinda Cemetery.
