Mrs. Ethel B. Riddlesberger, 85, widow of Henry M. Riddlesberger, formerly of 104 S. Broad St., died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Guilford Convalesarium, Fayetteville, where she had been a guest for the past two years. Mrs. Riddlesberger had been in failing health for several years and was critically ill for a month.

She was born at Libertytown, Md., Oct. 31, 1884, daughter of the late Clifton M. and Sally Y. Null Mills. Her early life was lived in Libertytown where she graduated from the Notre Dame Academy in 1900. Her family moved to Waynesboro in 1902.

She and Mr. Riddlesberger were married in April 1909. Mrs. Riddlesberger had lived at the South Broad Street residence for 46 years prior to entering the nursing home.

Her husband died in April, 1969.

Mrs. Riddlesberger was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church and had taught in the Church Sunday School for 25 years. She had a life long interest in music and was a member and past president of the Euterpe Club.

She is survived by a son, Dr. M. M. Riddlesberger, Carlisle, and a daughter, Mrs. W. W. Barkley, Waynesboro. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
