Opal Mae Maiseroulle, 82, of Pittsburg, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg.
She was born Sept. 6, 1920, at Bend, Ore., to Albert and Mabel (Walsh) Lee.
She moved to the area as a small child and attended public schools.
She worked for Sodexho Campus Services at Pittsburg State University. She worked at Gibson Dining Hall, the Gorilla Den, at the Overman Student Center, and as a caterer and baker for 50 1/2 years, retiring in February 2003.
On Oct. 30, 1938, she married Ernest Maiseroulle at Lamar, Mo. He survives of the home.
She was a member of College Heights United Methodist Church and Rob Morris Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Additional survivors include two sons, Ernest E. Maiseroulle Jr. of Peru, Ind., and Charlie J. Maiseroulle of Pittsburg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Eugene Maiseroulle.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Brenner Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Stephanie Wall Brown of College Heights United Methodist Church officiating.
Following the services, the body will be cremated.
Private family burial will be at a later date in Frontenac Cemetery.
Eastern Star services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today by Rob Morris Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m. at Brenner Mortuary Chapel, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary.
