Carol Pendleton Holt, born May 30, 1944 in Licking, Missouri, passed into the arms of Jesus on November 24, 2011 at the age of 67. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Don Pruett, husband Homer E. Pendleton, and parents Alta and Irrie Linson. Survivors include her husband Richard C. Holt, daughter Tamela Roades (Kelly), son Michael Pendleton (Julie), step-children Terri Morrison (Tim), Coy Holt (Chris), Leslie Richards (Brad), Donna Hall (Steve), siblings Steve Linson (Edna), Diana Peterson, and Nancy Hannaford, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a very large extended family whom she loved very much. First and foremost, in Carol's life was her love for God. She was a devout Christian and liked to share her religious beliefs. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Milam, Texas. Carol also enjoyed a love for the outdoors, camping, family reunions, family vacations, fishing, watching the sun come up over the lake, cooking, and get-togethers with family and friends. In the last few years, Carol loved the many hours spent with family and friends playing cards at her kitchen table and talking on the back porch. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Pallbearers were Greg Shelton, Ron Jarrett, Matt Jarrett, Darren Johnson, Ken Linson, and Matthew Jarrett Jr.
