Ray Franklin Brokaw
     WILDER - Ray Franklin Brokaw, 88, of Wilder, died Tuesday, June 17, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes.
     Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Burial will follow in the Wilder Cemetery.
     Mr. Brokaw was born Nov. 7, 1897, at Fruitland, Ore., a son of John and Mary Anna Brokaw. He was reared at Fruitland and Forest Grove, Ore. He drove a lumber truck in the Portland area. He married Sarah Mabel Hull on Dec. 31, 1920, at Vancouver, Wash. They moved to the Wilder area in 1927, where they farmed for many years. His wife died April 2, 1970.
     Survivors include two sons, Charley Brokaw of Wilder and OrVille Brokaw of Kuna; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Johnson of Richland, Wash.; seven grandchildren, Ronald Brokaw of Tuscon, Ariz., Mrs. Connie Thomas of Seattle, Mrs. Kathy Murphy of Kennewick, Wash., Mike Brokaw of Boise, Tonya Machatton of Indianapolis, Ind., Jeff Johnson of Richland, Wash. and Heather Brokaw of Wilder; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
