Nancy Jane Thompson, 88, of Elco, died Tuesday, May 1, 1934 in Elco, Alexander Co., IL. She was born May 10, 1846 in Jonesboro, Union Co, IL. She married Thomas Brimm in 1867 at the age of eighteen and to this union was born four children. She married John Thompson, a Civil War veteran, on April 20, 1884 in Elco, Alexander Co, IL.. She was a member of the Elco Methodist Church. She was survived by four sons, Carlile and Samuel Brimm; John and William Thompson; one daughter, Mrs. Nancy Ghere; 34 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph, Henery and Dennis Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband John of 29 years; her first husband, Thomas Brimm who died in 1876; one son, Thomas Brimm; three daughters; Mrs. Dora Beasley, Martha and Mary.........She was buried next to her husband John in Hazelwood Cemetery. (No stone)
