HOXIE - Raymond M. Yowell, 77, Hoxie, died Thursday, July 30, at the Sheridan County Hospital in Hoxie.

Mr. Yowell was born Jan. 13, 1910, in Hays. He had been a resident of the Hoxie area most of his life and was a farmer. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Elks Lodge, both of Hoxie.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the home; a son, Raymond Jr. of Ellis; three daughters, Virginia Weis of Minneapolis, Shirley Smith of Hill City and Patti Post of Concordia; a stepdaughter, Nadine Nelson of Topeka; three brothers, Clyde of Palco, Roy of Denver and Harold of Bothell, Wash.; a sister, Lela Ralston of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Christian Church, Benny Rosell officiating. Burial will be in the Hoxie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Christian Church Building Fund. Visitation is at the Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, Hoxie.
