MRS. J. S. AMBROSE
Mrs. Flossie Ambrose, 48 years, 11 months, wife of Jerry S. Ambrose, died at her home at Oakland, this county, Friday, May 17.
Mrs. Ambrose had been ill more than a year, part of the time being spent in the Winchester hospital.
The deceased was a daughter of the late William and Martha Walter and had lived all of her life in the Oakland community.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Ray and Larue, at
home, one daughter, Mrs. O. W. Davison, Hancock, Md., two brothers, Jerry Walter, Connellsville, Pa., and Newton Walter, Oakland. Two half-sisters, Mrs. James Wilson and Mrs. Lucy Luttrell of the county, and a half-brother, Willard Walter, Winchester, also survive.
Funeral services were held at the Oakland Methodist Church Monday afternoon by Rev. George D. Naylor, the pastor. Interment was in the adjacent cemetery.
