Mrs. Tunis Henderson received
word Saturday of the death of her
brother-in-law,Lawrence Shrader
which occurred in California. The
message stated the body accompanied
by relatives was being
brought back to this community
and would likely arrive in Kokomo
Monday. No funeral arrangements
will be made until after its
arrival.
The deceased and his family
left Tipton county four years ago
and located in California. He was
born in Howard county, but most
of his life was spent in this county.
He was united in marriage to
Miss Marjorie Davis, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Davis of
the Rock Prairie community and
lived there until his removal to
California four years ago. His widow is
a sister of Mrs. Tunis
Henderson of the Hopewell community;
George Davis of Windfall;Mrs. Howard Hannah
of Sharpsville; Mrs. John Idlewlne
of Greentown; Mrs. Walter Blessing
of Windfall; Thomas, Ervin and Susie Davis
all of the East Hopewell community.
Lawrence Shrader, who was about
38 years of age, is survived by the
widow, his father Oscar Shrader of
California and three children, Vernon,
Phyllis and Melissa, all at home. He is also
survived by several half-brothers and half-
sisters. Lawrence Shrader was a member of
the Dunkard church in the Slakum community
and a man who had many friends in this counry.
His passing will bring much regret to them all.
Mr. Shrader was here in May to attend the funeral
of his widow's father, the late Theodore Davis
whose death occurred, May 1.

Mr. Shrader was killed in a train accident. His
funeral was held at the Windfall Brethern church
west of windfall, Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 18th
and burial was at the Nevada Cemetery.
