I just came across his death cert, he was staying at the Brunswick Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri when he died. Widowed and retired traveling salesman. So his correct place of death is Kansas City-Jackson County-Missouri. Dec 18 1827. Died from a cerebral hemorage. His middle name was Elijah just like his father.

Came to Kansas in 1889, Was Merchant at Kingman
N.E. Galloway, 77, died early Sunday morning in Kansas City. He had been an invalid for several years, and his death was the result of a second stroke of paralysis.
Mr. Galloway was born on a farm near Blue bell, Ohio. He came to Kansas in 1880 and settled in Kingman, where he conducted a general merchandise business. In 1808 he moved to Topeka and the family home is at 2063 Lincoln street.
Mr. Galloway was married in 1875 to Rebecca Gander, of Cambridge, O., and they were the parents of five children. Mrs. Galloway died two years ago. Three sons survive, W.S. Galloway, H.F. Galloway and H.C. Galloway of Kansas City.
Mr. Galloway was a life long Methodist and held his membership in the Euclid Avenue M.E. church at the time of his death.
Funeral services will be held today in Wall-Diffenderfer chapel at 2:30 o'clock. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Relatives request that no flowers be sent.
