Mr. Davis was born October 2, 1931 in Rosebud to Chris and Thelma McClain Davis. He attended Rosebud High School and was known as “Golden Toe” and went to college at Lamar University on a football scholarship. He worked as a machinist for Ideco and later DuPont Beaumont Works until retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davis, daughter, Debra Jordan-Leger, son Chris Davis, step son Frank LeBlue,
4 Grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.
