Abilene Reporter News - June 23, 2001

CLYDE - Shirley Bob Jennings, 57, of Abilene, died Thursday at an Abilene hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2001 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Clyde.

Shirley Bob was born on November 23, 1943, in Cross Plains to William Lee and Bessie Travis Jennings. She lived most of her life in Abilene. Shirley attended Adult Day Care in Abilene and leaves behind a host of dear friends there. Soma Resources of Abilene was her home for the last 11 years.

Shirley Bob loved her family, her home and Adult Day Care. One of her last requests was to go to Adult Day Care "school." She was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a Baptist.

The family wishes to extend our gratitude for all the love and kindness shown to Shirley Bob by Elva Sosa and the staff of Soma Resources. We also wish to thank Adult Day Care for being there for Shirley Bob. She loved Adult Day Care and everyone at this wonderful agency.

Shirley Bob was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Darlene Knapp; and a niece, Lindsay Blair Miller.
