W. Dalton Newton, 70, died Friday in a Charleston hospital. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Maryer Funeral Home, will be in Gourdines Chapel Churchyard.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine White Newton; three sons, W. Derrick Newton of Andrews, the Rev. Marvin D. Newton of Winnsboro, and Roger E. Newton of Atlanta; and five grandchildren.
