Doral was united in marriage to Amy Reba Evans on Sept. 30, 1939. Reba survives him, at their home, Northeast of Mercer, Mo.
He is also survived by two sons; Larry Porter and wife, Shirley; and Randy Porter and wife Dena, all of Muscatine, Iowa; his brother; Dale Porter and wife, Ruth, of Linesville, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Tammy Dunbar and husband Jeff; Jana Risenhoover and husband Jonathan; Amber and Carine Porter; Faith, Dustin and Todd Porter; three great-grandchildren; Matthew and Jacob Dunbar and Jasper Risenhoover; a former daughter-in-law, Judy Collier Porter of Muscatine, Iowa; and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Lannie Kaye Porter; and by his sister, Leola Perryman.
Dorsal was raised near Mercer, Mo., and was a graduate of Mercer High School. He was a lifelong farmer and dearly loved raising Black Angus cattle.
He was a former director and past president of the Federal Land Bank of North Central Missouri and was a member and Deacon of the Lineville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999, at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville, Iowa, with the Rev. Max Carmichael and the Rev. Brad Wells officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa.
