She was born to Franz Joseph KlostermanN (1812-1892) and Maria Agnes Meyer (1814-1873). They sailed to the United States on July 20, 1842. They sailed from Bremen, Germany to Baltimore, Maryland.

In 1856 the family lived in New Wine, Iowa.

At the age of 16 she married Anton Noethe (1833-1873). They were married in New Vienna, Iowa on November 17, 1857. They applied for a marriage license on October 27, 1857.They went on to have at least six children: Joseph (1858), Maria (1861), Mary (1863), Elizabeth (died young), Johann (died young), and Frank (1869).

On February 20, 1873 her husband Anton dies. They still are living in Iowa.

I don't know exact date of her marriage to F. Henry Vonlehmden. But being as she had young children, the fact that the 1880 census lists her as Mary Vonlehmden, and that she and he now have a 5 year old child between them...I put possible marriage date in 1874. In fact, they have two children together: Joseph (1875) and Clemans (1878). Clemans dies in 1888 at the age of 10.
