Mrs. Mary Baker

Funeral services for longtime Thurston County resident Mrs. Mary Baker were held on Monday, Nov. 13, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Pender.
Mrs. Baker, 97, died at Pender Community Hospital on Nov. 10.
The former Mary Potter, she was born Jan. 18, 1881 in Woodbine County, Ia. She married Albert Baker at Pender on May 2, 1900.
Mrs. Baker lived all her married life in Thurston County.
Preceding her in death were her husband and two sons, George and Roy.
Survivors include a daughter, Hazel Olson of Modesto, Calif.; a sister, Hazel Turner of Moses Lake, Wash., seven grandchildren. seven great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the services was the Rev. Rod Rice.
Serving as pallbearers' were Marvin Baker, Carroll Baker, Clair Smith, Kenneth Baker, Alvin Baker and Ken Olson.
Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pender.
