MOUNT CARMEL -- Gene A. Kennard, 88, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at Wabash General Hospital.
He was a farmer and a member of Keensburg Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Cornett of Pleasanton, Calif.; a son, Richard L. of Mount Carmel; a sister, Rose Horlander of Killgore, Texas; a brother, Daniel of Mount Carmel; six grandchildren, Karen Raber, Kevin and Kristin Kennard, Joy Hocking, Jackie Fewkes and Shenna Cornett; and eight great-grandchildren. His first wife, Beulah May (Butler), preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to Keensburg Christian Church.
