Christine E. Howell, 80, of Pensacola passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011.
Mrs. Howell was a native of Holmes County, FL and resided in Pensacola for the past 58 years. She was a member of Ensley United Methodist Church and Ensley Order of Eastern Star Chapter 244. Christine was employed as a nurse at Baptist Hospital for over 30 years, then worked at the Escambia County Juvenile Detention Center for 10 years.
Preceding her in death is her son, George Danny Howell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, O. Z. Howell; son, Jerry Howell (Lori); grandchildren, John Randolph Howell and Lindsey Marie Howell; great grandchildren, John Randolph Howell II, Alexander Lee Howell, Angelic Junie Howell, Annabella Christine Howell, Cheyanne Elizabeth Franklin and Tristan Daniel Franklin; sisters, Joyce Dukes (Bob) and Gwen "Polly" Mowry (Jerry); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2011 from 1 PM till the service time of 2 PM at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
