Marjorie Elizabeth Harsh Hefke, 62, of Fort Myers, passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2009. She was born in KY on September 27, 1946, to Leonard and Elizabeth (Pritchett) Harsh. Margie graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1964 and went on to receive her nursing degree from Jackson Memorial in Miami. After residing in NE, OK, and Japan, Margie returned to Fort Myers in 1980 to settle in the city she considered home. She was a registered nurse with Southwest FL Regional Medical Center (which recently became Gulf Coast Regional Hospital) for 29 years. Margie was a long-time member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters Denise (Nathan) Baker, Melisa (Robert B.) Clem, and Teresa (Ray) Mooney; her grandchildren Robert Dennis, Amy, Lila, Amber, Sara, Shane, Cyrus, and Deven; her sister Linda Harsh; her brother Richard (Roberta) Harsh; as well as numerous other family members, friends, and co-workers. Her kindness and love will live on through us. She was preceded in death by her parents Len (2007) and Betty (1988).
Memorial services were conducted Friday, July 24, 2:00 p.m., at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 4141 Deleon St., Fort Myers.
Interment alongside beloved family was at 11:00 a.m. on December 23, 2011 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, Sylvan Terrace, Columbarium #4, C-11. There was a graveside memorial service for family with Pastor George from Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
