Christiane Ade, widow of Gottlob Ade, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Pfeifer near Marshfield, at 7:13 o'clock Saturday morning. She suffered a stroke of paralysis 10 years ago and had been in failing health since that time.

Mrs. Ade was born February 15, 1849 in Wurttemberg, Germany, and came to America when a young girl. She was married to Mr. Ade in 1871. He died August 13. 19.10. She joined the Lutheran church in Germany and later transferred her membership to St. Paul's Lutheran church at Otterbein.

Surviving arc the following children: Jacob and William Ade living near Lafayette: Gottlob Ade, near Brookston: and Mrs. William Pfeifer, of Marshfield. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren. Funeral services will lie conducted from the Pfeifer home at 11:13 o'clock Monday morning and from the St. Paul Lutheran church at Otterbein at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon; burial in Asbury cemetery.
