Lawrence Joseph Dorotik of El Campo, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2011 at the age of 70. He was born in El Campo on December 13, 1940 to the late Robert and Cecilia Krenek Dorotik. He had worked in the lumber business with local lumber yards in El Campo for over 40 years. He was also former co-owner of the Paint Depot.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Hunter Dorotik of El Campo, sons Brian Dorotik and wife Denise of El Campo, Trent Dorotik and wife Laura of East Bernard, grandchildren Brianna, Bridget, Kellen and Korben Dorotik, and sister Betty Parma and husband B. G. of El Campo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert "Bob" Dorotik.

Visitation will begin on Friday at 11 am with a KC and Parish Wake Service to be held at 4 pm at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 10, 2011, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Entombment will be at the Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are B. G. Parma, Johnny Naiser, Ray Pilgrim, Bennie Tupa, Jim Baros, Tim Parma, Greg Parma and Alex Dorotik.
Memorial donations in his memory may be made to St. Philip's Church, St. Philip's School or to East Bernard Elementary School PTO.
