FUNERAL OF L. O. PRIEST
Funeral services for L. O. Priest, formerly of Emporia, who died Monday morning in Shelbyville, Ill., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. H. Belting, were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock in Shelbyville. Burial was in a Shelbyville cemetery.
L. O. Priest was born November 11, 1836, in Keene, N. H. He moved to Olpe [KS] in 1857 and later moved to Emporia. Mr. Priest lived in Emporia until last August when he and Mrs. Priest went to Shelbyville to live with their daughter. Mr. Priest was a Civil War veteran.
Mr. Priest is survived by Mrs. Priest, five sons: Fred Priest of Emporia [KS]; Harry Priest of Salina [KS]; Howard Priest of Wichita [KS]; Walter Priest of New Orleans [LA], and E. C. Priest of Fowler, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. C. H. Belting, of Shelbyville, Ill.; Mrs. W. L. Gadberry, of Emporia [KS], and Mrs. T. C. Coffman, of Wichita [KS], and one sister, Mrs. J. L. Williams, of Emporia [KS].
