Gertrude Marie (Dillon) Sigmon Delinger, was born on December 10, 1919 in Deaver, Wyoming to Squire and Luella (Miller) Dillon. She passed away on November 10, 2011 at Arma, Kansas at the age of 91. Gertrude attended school in Deaver, Wyoming through the 10th grade.
Gertrude married Cecil Wayne Sigmon and to this union five sons were born, Wayne, Gene, Keith, Allen and Gary.
Gertrude worked as a nurse's aid, but being mother and housewife were her favorite jobs.
After Cecil passed away in December of 1972 she later married Dudley Delinger who passed away in 1993. After that she continued to live in Aurora, Colorado then later to Greeley for about seven years and the last move was to Pittsburg, Kansas to be near her son, Wayne where she stayed until her health conditions no longer allowed for her to be in a home setting and the last two years were spent in the Arma Care Center in Arma, Kansas.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Sigmon and Dudley Delinger and son, Gene Sigmon who passed away in 1960 shortly after joining the Navy; and daughter-in-law, Judy Sigmon.
She is survived by four sons, Wayne and wife, Barbara of Pittsburg, Kansas; Keith and wife, Mabel of Kersey, Colorado; Allen of Smyrna, Tennessee; and Gary and wife, Sadia of Eaton, Colorado; She is survived by eight grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren; and one sister, Mamie Sigmon along with numerous other family and friends.
The funeral Service was held on November 16, 2011 at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado with Pastor Wyatt Duncan officiating. Interment followed at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado.
