Adolph was 19 and working at The B. F. Goodrich Company in Akron, OH when his left hand caught in a tube machine. It was mangled so badly it was amputated. (Akron {OH} Beacon Journal, 06/22/1903, p. 3:3). He was living in Akron during the 1920 census. By the 1930 census he was living in Stilwell, OK with his wife & 2 children.
"Services for Adolph Dornbrack, 62, of Stilwell, Okla. a native of Akron, are being arranged in the former city. Burial will be there. Mr. Dornbrack, who died Saturday, was justice of the peace at Stilwell. He moved from Akron 30 years ago. He leaves his wife, Ora; three daughters, Irma, Joyce and Mrs. Gladys Duvall, all of Stilwell; three sons, Robert, serving in the Army in Korea, Charles and Edgar Lee of Stilwell and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Green, Mrs. Mary Heiser, and Mrs. Ella Salmon, all of Akron."

"Funeral Held for Adolph Dornbrack Last Thursday Funeral service for Adolph Dornbrack, who died Saturday, December 22, was held at the Roberts Funeral Chapel, Thursday,. December 27, with Rev. Henry Wall officiating. Mr. Dornbrack was born February 13, 1889 at Akron, Ohio. He was married to Ora Guthrie September 20, 1924. He is survived by his wife of the home; three sons, Edgar Of Kansas City, Mo., Robert, who is now serving with the armed forces in Korea, and Charles of the home; three daughters, Mrs. W. Duvall of San Antonio, Texas, Joyce and Corine of the home; one grandchild, Tony Dornbrack; and three sisters, Mrs. Millie Green, Mrs. Ella Salmon, and Mrs. Lena Heiser, all of Akron, Ohio. Burial was in the Stilwell cemetery with Roberts Funeral Home directing."
