Mr. Charles William Acy, Sr. 81, a resident of Brookhaven died November 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Leflore County, Mississippi on November 6, 1930 to the late Jessie Rye Acy and Docia Mae Robinson Acy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 894 Natchez drive location. Visitation will begin Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Joe Deer officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mr. Acy was a retired logger in the logging industry and was of Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, N. A. Acy, Bud Acy, and Frank Acy.

Mr. Acy is survived by his wife, Johnnie M. Acy of Brookhaven; five daughters, Kathy King and her husband Donnie; Sherry Adams and her husband Bill; Tina Marble and her husband Kenneth; Tammy Vinson and her husband Frank, all of Brookhaven; and Sara Owen and her husband Bill of Brandon, MS; One son, Chet Acy and his wife Jessie of Brookhaven; Three brothers, J. J. Acy of Houston, TX; O. F. Acy of Pensacola, FL; and Pete Acy of Utica, MS;

18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS.
