Edgar Ellis Nicholson of Molalla died at the Salem Memorial Hospital on Christmas Day 1990 at the age of 79. Edgar was born January 24, 1911 to Mary Magee and Ellis Nicholson, an early pioneer family.
He graduated from Scotts Mills High School in 1929. In 1933 he married Lela Hilton in Vancouver, WA. They were married for 57 years and had three daughters. Edgar worked in the timber industry for many years and later was employed with the Oregon State Highway Maintenance Division. Funeral services were Dec. 29 in Molalla, Oregon with graveside services following at Maplewood Pioneer Cemetery in Scotts Mills,OR.
