Kimberly Knute Wichman, 55, Topeka, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Stormont-Vail Health Center, Topeka, after a long battle with cancer.

Kim Wichman was born on April 17, 1955, at Marysville, Kansas, the son of Wayne H. Wichman and Bette C. Keefover Wichman. He graduated from Valley Heights High School with the class of 1973. He attended Cloud County Community College, where he was a member of the Great Society Singers.

He worked in Marysville as a manufacturer and laborer for several years before relocating to Topeka. He was a member of the Roubidoux Creek Band in the '70s and later the Tyrone Holms and Cooney Band. He enjoyed playing guitar.

Survivors include his son, Jacob T. Wichman; his daughters, Jada J. Wichman Roepke, and Jorden K. Wichman; his brothers, Larry "Butch" Wichman, Jerre Wichman, and Dick Wichman and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandra S. Wichman.
