Virginia (Morrison) Becker was the first of two daughters born to Clinton & Nina (Long) Morrison, joined by her sister Geraldine (Geri). They lived on a farm in Lucas County. Virginia was married on May 6, 1951 to Kenneth Becker; sister Geri married Kenneth's cousin, Gerald Becker in 1955. Virginia and Kenneth had a daughter, Linda and a son, Larry; they were members of First Baptist Church in Chariton. Virginia developed cancer and went to her heavenly home in 1982 at the age of 52 years. Kenneth Becker survived her and died in 2001; he is also buried in Chariton Cemetery.
