DEAD AT AGE 70

For Past 20 Years
Mrs. Ola Gallagher, 70, died in
her sleep at 7:30 o'clock yesterday
morning at her home in Paul
Smiths. She was the daughter of
Edith Paye and Archie Swinyer
and was born July 17, 1889 in
Vermontviile. Her husband, the
late Robert Gallagher, died in 1929.
Mrs. Gallagher made her home
in Paul Smiths for about 50 years.
For the past 20 years she has been
the Brighton Town Clerk.
She is survived by two sons,
Robert of Lewiston and Paul
Smiths, and Harold of Paul
Smiths; one daughter, Mrs. Nellie
Williams of Paul Smiths; threesisters,
Mrs. Cleo Rieck of Bloomingdale,
Mrs. Edith Ransom and
Mrs. Clara Besaw of Saranac
Lake; two brothers, Arlo Swinyer
of Saranac Lake and Mack of
Bloomingdale. Two grandchildren
also survive.
The body is reposing at her
home on Easy Street in Paul
Smiths where there will be a prayer
service at 2 p.m.^ tomorrow,
followed by a church service at
the Keeses Mills Presbyterian
Church at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. William
MacCready will officiate. Interment
will be in the family plot
in St. John's in
Cemetery in Paul Smiths.
