Mrs. Chas. Boyce Dies Yesterday

Death Occurs At Her Home Here Mrs. Charles P. Boyce 77 resident of this community nearly all her life, died last evening at 5:10 o'clock in her home at 1601 Bank street. She had been in failing health four years and bedfast for the past month.
A daughter of William R. and Laura R. Johnson. Kate M. Johnson was born at Galland, Iowa, on April 2, 1863. With the exception of 8 years spent in western Iowa and Kansas, she was a lifelong resident of Lee county.
She was married to Charles P. Boyce on Feb...... 15, 1883 and they would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on the 15th of this month. She was a member of the Sandusky Christian church.
Surviving are her husband; three children, Mrs. R.G. Philp, W.A. Boyce and H.L. Boyce, all of Keokuk six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, one brother and two sisters.
The body will be removed this evening from the Ryan Funeral home to the residence of her son, Archie Boyce at 1414 Exchange street, where it will remain until time for the funeral services which will be held from the Sandusky Christian church on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with the Rev. Ralph A. Holmes officiating. Burial will be made in the Sandusky cemetery.
