DOROTHY ALLEN

Dorothy Louise Allen, 81, of Hillsboro died Sunday, November 9, 2003 in Hillsboro. She was born August 24, 1922 in Itasca, daughter of Dee and Zelma Robinson Barnes. She co-owned Allen Auto Parts in Hillsboro with her husband from 1948 until his death, continuing to operate the business until retiring in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. She married Sidney Crow Allen June 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death November 7, 1984. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Benny Barnes. Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Kay Tufts of Hillsboro and Kathy Psencik and husband, Ernie, of Whitehouse; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Kenneth James officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro.
