A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn for Opal A. Berkey-Levine, who died May 3 at age 94.

Opal A. Dickey was born March 21, 1914, in Wayne County, Ill. A homemaker, she lived in the Woodburn and Hubbard areas before moving to Canby two years ago. In 1985, she married Porter Levine; he died in 2007.

Survivors include her daughter, Robin Zimmerman; sons, Jack Berkey and Dennis Berkey; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Remembrances to Thelma's Place in care of Countryside Living, Canby. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial in Woodburn.

She was born March 21, 1914 in Wayne County, Ill. She married Porter Levine on Feb. 14, 1985 in Hubbard. He died in 2007.
She was a homemaker and lived in the Woodburn and Hubbard areas for several years before moving to Canby two years ago.
She attended the United Church of Christ in Hubbard and was a member of the Hubbard Women's Club, Pythian Sisters and bridge club.

She is survived by a daugher, Robin Zimmerman of Sun Lake, Ariz.; sons, Jack Berkey of Hubbard and Dennis Berkey of San Antonio, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 7, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Woodburn. A private family burial service will be held at Zion Mennonite Cemetery in Hubbard. Contributions may be made to Thelma's Place, c/o Country Side Living in Canby.
