The mother of the famous periodical wildlife artist Lynn Bogue Hunt (1878-1961), whose artwork graced the front covers of Field & Stream magazine in the 1920s-1940s. Nancy was born in Chittenden, Vermont the daughter of Samuel Bishop and Sallie Cordelia (Garfield) Bogue. The aformentioned Sallie (Sarah in the cemetery records) was an aunt of Albion State Bank president David A. Garfield, Sr. Nancy Bogue married traveling salesman Franklin Fiske Hunt of Honeoye Falls, NY on January 17, 1877, and the family lived at Oneida, NY. In 1890 they came to Albion, Michigan where Nancy's brother Charles was a grocer. Nancy and Franklin had three children: 1) Lynn Bogue Hunt FINDAGRAVE FAMOUS PERSON #9007629; 2) Lena Marie (Mrs. Minard Farley, Sr.)(1879-1961); and 3) George Bogue Hunt (1883-1932) who worked as a railroad agent in Albion. Nancy's husband Franklin Fiske Hunt died February 14, 1906 in Grand Rapids, MI.
