Sacred to the memory of Dr. Charles H. Beauchamp. He was born in Kentucky, on the 20th of October 1821. He died in Baton Rouge while on a temporary visit to that place on the 17th of March, 1860, in the 39th year of his age. He spent the last twelve years of his life in the Parish of St. Landry where he was universally esteemed for his many sterling and amiable qualities. In his business relations he was eminently just, in his friendships he was sincere and constant. In his general deportment he was modest and unobtrusive.
