Mahalia Margaret Bailey was married to Ed Fowler in Papillion, Nebraska on March 28, 1890. In 1915 she came with her husband to Converse County and Douglas has been her home most of the time since.

Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. L. A. Wickwire of Ashland, Neb.; Mrs. H. E. Wickwire and Mrs. D. W. Wilson, both of Douglas; two sons, A. J. Fowler of Kennard, Neb.; and William Fowler of Glenrock; three brothers, Jack Bailey of Lewiston, Ida.; Samuel Bailey of Ashland, Neb.; and George Bailey of Crab Orchard, Neb.; thirty-six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
