Charlie Barnes, age 83, of Racetrack Road in Irvine passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the Marcum & Wallace Memorial Hospital. He was born October 4, 1928 in Estill County and was the son of the late George and Delia Crowe Barnes. He was retired from Bundy Tubing and had lived in Estill County all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Willoughby Barnes. He is survived by:
5 Daughters:Patsy Puckett & husband Robert, Irvine, Barbara Hunter & husband, Terry, Charlotte, NC, Peggy Perkins & husband, Steven, Lexington, Bonnie Riddell & husband, James, Winchester, Connie Glasson & husband, Tracy, Irvine; 4 Sons: James Barnes & wife, Debbie, Irvine, Raleigh Barnes & wife Cindy, N. Vernon, IN, Johnie Barnes & wife, Helen, Berea, Tommy Barnes & wife, Pam, Clay City; 21 Grandchildren; 2 Step-Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren;5 Step-Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Charles Dean Barnes and Lonnie Barnes, 3 sisters; Nannie Bell Means, Jane Adams and Mattie Jameson, 1 brother, Thomas Barnes and his step-mother, Dema Barnes.

Funeral services at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Marvin Neal and Rev. Terry Hunter. Burial will be at the Jackson Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the Warren F. Toler Funeral Home.
