Avie Magdalene Phillips, 95, Stewart, TN, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the loving arms of her family, at her daughter's residence.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home with Jerry Shelton officiating.
Burial will be in Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday and from 12:30 pm until the hour of service Friday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born December 2, 1914 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Riley and Nellie Westerman.
Her marriage to Floyd Kennerley was blessed with one daughter, Leona (Joseph) Wallace. After being widowed in 1939 she was married to Dewey Phillips until his death in 1987. She was loved by her four granddaughters, Freda Ficklin, Cynthia (Jerry) Shelton, Becky (Mark) Crawford, all of Clarksville, and Cheryl (Avery) Fuqua, Mt. Juliet, TN; nine greatchildren, Jeremy (Rebecca)Ficklin, Jason Ficklin, Lindsey (Jay) Chantler, Rachel (Paul) Kahle, Jennifer Wallace, Eric Crawford, Micah Wallace, Emily Shelton and Seth Fuqua; seven greatgrandchildren, Audrey and Lorelei Kahle, Chloe and Christian Ficklin, Lily and Greyson Chantler and her namesake, Ava Shelton.
Pallbearers will be her great grandsons.
