Born to Collin Isaac Aldrich (1862-1913) & Margaret Josephine Murchison Aldrich (1868-1940), who married on Aug. 27, 1887, in Houston County, TX. Oliver was named for his paternal grandfather, Oliver Cromwell Aldrich (1830-1889), & his maternal grandfather, Daniel Murchison (1804-1882).

Oliver married Carrie Elizabeth Chatham (1888-1983) in 1913 in Lubbock, TX.

Four children:
• Orville Lee Aldrich (1913-1981)
• Margaret Elizabeth Aldrich Plemons Sinclair English Dagley Parido (1920-1991)
• Oliver William Aldrich (5/12/1924-7/14/1980 in L.A., California)
• Fred Joe Aldrich (1929-1963)
