Minnie Geneva Carothers, daughter of Charles and Alfreda Ellis Carothers, was born in Knox County, Illinois, January 16, 1867 and died at the Berry nursing home in Atlantic, November 11, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers, and is survived by three brothers, Charley of Vancouver, Washington, Bird of Woodburn, Oregon, and Fred of Nodaway.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon, November 14, at the Methodist Church in Nodaway with the Rev. James Wiknis officiating. Singing was by Margaret Dismukes and Edna Everett, accompanied by Mrs. Emma Jeanne Shipley at the piano. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery. Pall bearers were Floyd Agnew, Charley Woods, Wm. Orme, Mahlan Carothers, Leslie Carothers, and Charley Kernen.
