Philip Darrenkamp, seventy-six, 56 Campbell ave., died at his home at 8:50 p.m. Saturday of complications after an illness of some months. He was born in this city and had been a resident here most of his life. His parents were the late Henry and Emma Schmidt Darrenkamp. He was a barber by trade and for many years conducted a barber shop on W. King St. For fourteen years he was employed by the Armstrong Linoleum company, but for the past few years has been retired because of failing health. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church. He is survived by his wife who was Lena Myer, of Illinois, before marriage; the following children, Rose L., wife of Henry Metzger; John A., and Edward, all of this city; Joseph, Sphingfield, NJ. Eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; these brothers and sisters, John, Mt. Joy; Harry and Mrs. Emma Keller, both of this city; Mrs. Elizabeth Rinker, Atlanta, Ga.; Mary, wife of William Spangler, Millersville; George, Philadelphia; Victoria, wife of Charles Denlinger, Philadelphia, also survive.
