William Gould was for many years transfer clerk in the mail service at the passenger station. He came to Grafton in the 1870's and was employed in the foundry of the B & O Railroad until that department was moved to Newark, Ohio. He remained here and was appointed transfer clerk of the mails under President Cleveland until his passing.
