He was a retired Blacksmith and a Lay Minister.
he was survived by his wife

Mrs. Bert Shermer of Punxsutawney;
Mrs. Harry Reitz of Brookville;
Ben Stigers of Cherrytree;
Jacob W. Stigers Jr. and
Mrs. Arthur Zimmerman of Hallton;
Captain James W. Stigers,stationed with
the U.S.Army in Lawton,Oklahoma;
and these sisters & brother:
Mrs. Laura Smyers of Troutville;
Mrs. Jennie Young of Rossiter;
Mrs. Lizzie Beatty of Mahaffy;
Mrs. Goldie Davidson of Dayton;
Mrs.Martha Lloyd of Hastings;
and Henry Stigers of Beaverdale.
Fourteen grandchildren and 2 great
grandchildren also survive.
