Charles Orie Cranston
CLACKAMAS - Charles Orie Cranston, 74, died Friday morning at his home at 8525 SE Monterey Avenue, where he had moved about three years ago.
He moved to this area in 1933 where he lived in and near since that time. He was born January 12, 1879 in Newhall, Iowa and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include the widow Lima; three sons, John L., and Charles G., Sioux Falls, S.D.; Orvis H., Portland; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Johnson, Huron, S.D.; Mrs. Isabel Sewell, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Cyrilla Rhodes and Mrs. Zelda Bahler, Portland; one brother H. I. Cranston, Lindsey, Calif.; one sister Mrs. Myrtle Cosby, Wessington Springs, S.D.; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Holman-Hankins Rilance funeral home, Oregon City, Tuesday, December 8 at 11 a.m. Rev. C. E. Brickwedel, Portland, will officiate and vault interment will follow in Mount View cemetery, Oregon City.
